du offers cheaper GCC roaming rates
du, the integrated telecom service provider in the UAE, has announced an innovative scheme, “Passport” that offers customers a chance to talk for longer time at cheap rates while travelling in the GCC region.
The offer, which is the first of its kind in the GCC, is aimed at enhancing the simplicity and the affordability of roaming outgoing call rates in order to ease customers’ peace of mind when travelling abroad, said a statement from du.
Under this plan, du customers have to pay just 90fils per minute for all outgoing local calls; calls back to the UAE; and calls made to any other GCC number, while roaming in the GCC region – in addition to a small one-time connection fee of Dh5 per call.
With this offer, staying connected across the GCC while travelling has been taken to a whole new level, it added.
“du believes in ensuring all their customers are satisfied and happy by giving them a chance to enjoy more value and convenience in any way conceivable,” said Farid Faraidooni, chief commercial officer, du.
“This new ingenious ‘Passport’ plan will inevitably reinforce du’s status of being recognised as the best operator that offers remarkable roaming services that allows customers to enjoy incredible freedom and flexibility,” he added.
“In our on-going efforts to stay completely dedicated to offering high-end, reasonably priced, and straightforward roaming services du continues its stance in tending to the needs of its customers.”
“Calling while travelling within the GCC is now more affordable and simpler than ever with customers enjoying a very attractive and unique rate of 90 fils,” Faraidooni stated.
