Nawras’ first female Radio Network Design Engineer wins international awardNawras family member Dalia Al Hassani was honoured with the Women at Work Leadership Award at the 4th Asia’s Best Employer Brand Awards 2013. The ceremony, held in Singapore, saw Dalia receive one of many awards of her career, which has progressed rapidly with Nawras since joining the company in 2005. She also won the Al Mar’a Excellence award for Technology in 2012. Dalia is Oman’s first female Expert Radio Network Design Engineer and has recently been promoted to Radio Solution Design Section Head.

Dalia said, “I am inspired and motivated to grow and develop with Nawras, as they continue to offer more innovative services in an ever-changing market. The opportunity of being in management has made me set more new goals to fulfil endless possibilities in the industry and personal development. I am completely focused on thriving and improving to see just how far I can go in this market and with Nawras.”

During Dalia’s career with Nawras, she has received several external and internal awards. As well as being named in CommsMEA’s Top 50 Female Telecoms Executives for the entire Middle East and Africa region, Dalia has won two Nawras Excellence Awards for her outstanding performance.

As a result of her team leadership skills, Dalia’s department is spearheading the countrywide Network Turbocharging Programme, to replace every base station with the latest technology and deliver superfast broadband to customers.
