Nawras starts Omani racers on the road to success and brings the community together with a range of Ramadan activities
During the Holy Month of Ramadan and beyond, Nawras continues its commitment to the community by sponsoring a diverse range of social and cultural events. Nawras is supporting talented Omani go-karting brothers Sanad and Abdullah al Rawahi for the coming season as they aim to become champions on the world stage and ambassadors for Oman Youth Motorsport.
Recently the brothers pulled off an impressive finish in the top 20 at the 2013 Rotax Max Euro Challenge, held at the PF International Circuit in Brandon, England. Sanad and Abdulah will return to the England in September to take part in the CIK-FIA World KF Championship before competing in France at the Euro Challenge and finishing the year in Bahrain for round two of the same championship.
Mutassim Hamood Al-Zadjali, Department Head CSR and Events at Nawras, said, “During Ramadan we have taken the opportunity to spread joy and goodwill to people across the Sultanate by sponsoring activities that bring the community together for social and cultural development, as well as embarking on our annual Nawras Goodwill Journey to visit charitable organisations throughout Oman. We maintain a passion for the growth of young Omani talent and supporting Sanad and Abdullah in their endeavours is an exciting opportunity to help two young Omanis realise their dream. We wish them all the best for the coming season.”
Nawras has supported religious, cultural and sporting activities during July and August which included sponsoring the ‘Values Center’ programme on Oman TV and taking an active role in the development of young people in Oman.
Nawras was Gold Sponsor of this year’s Summer of Sports programme for the seventh consecutive year, in partnership with the Ministry of Sports Affairs. The programme delivers a 25-day programme of sporting activity to young people. Nawras also sponsored Clubs Youth Camps, a residential programme designed to enhance the social skills of Omani youths through sporting and cultural activities over the summer months.
Nawras is a keen supporter of sport in Oman and the company is delighted that Oman’s national goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi and champion racing driver Ahmad Al Harthy are both Nawras family members and Brand Ambassadors.
Each month, Nawras engages with the community through a variety of large and small projects, to enrich the daily lives of people in Oman. Throughout Ramadan the company brought communities together and contributed to the spirit of giving and sharing by supporting seasonal events and long term social projects in typical, pleasingly different Nawras style.
