Teradata held its 9th National IT Excellence Awards Ceremony

Islamabad Teradata Corporation has announced the winners of the 2010 Teradata National Information Technology (IT) Excellence Awards, which recognize outstanding achievements by individuals in the Pakistan IT community. The award ceremony was held in Islamabad last week.

The winners of the 2010 Teradata National IT Excellence Awards are:

According to Mr. Khuram Rahat, Teradata Managing Director for Pakistan and Bangladesh, “Teradata is very pleased to host the awards program and recognize individuals who have been instrumental in introducing, promoting and implementing IT in Pakistan.  This is the ninth annual awards event, however, Teradata started making individual awards in 1997, as part of Pakistan’s Golden Jubilee to recognize professionals in the information technology.”

Christopher Armitage, Area Vice President for United Kingdom, Ireland and Pakistan, Chief Guest for the event said, “The IT Excellence Awards will go a long way towards promoting the development of information technology in Pakistan, and more importantly, encouraging professionals to excel in their fields.” The Panel of Judges included: Mr. Noor uddin Baqai, Mr. Shahid Sarwar, Mr. Iqbal Abdulla, Mr. Shabbir Baxamoosa, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Abid Khan and Brig. (Retd) Saleem Ahmed Moeen.
