ThinkAnalytics enhances Singtel TV with personalized content recommendations
ThinkAnalytics™, developer of the world’s most deployed multi-platform TV search and recommendations engine, has announced that Singtel is using ThinkAnalytics’ personalized Search and Recommendations Engine across more than 120 linear channels and on-demand libraries to enhance its IPTV service. Singtel TV’s 400,000+ subscribers now enjoy personalized recommendations in multiple languages via the set-top box and companion TV GO apps.
A cloud-based deployment, ThinkAnalytics’ platform is pre-integrated with Ericsson Mediaroom at Singtel. The recommendations are available within the electronic program guide on set-top boxes and on the Singtel TV GO apps for iOS and Android devices, giving subscribers a superior, personalized Mediaroom experience without having to login or identify themselves.
Singtel has deployed a variety of recommendations techniques that take advantage of both editorial input and personalization including: recommendations based on users’ wish lists; personalized ‘Recommended For You’ on linear TV, TVOD (Transactional VOD), SVOD (Subscription VOD), and Season Pass; ‘Similar Programmes’ for linear EPG content and movies; a personalized VOD store for movie rentals; and collaborative recommendations based on subscribers’ rental history
