Any great partnership thrives on some give and take. At the moment, Long View Systems is giving data center architecture a whole new look . . . and taking home yet another prominent award.
Long View, one of North America’s pre-eminent providers of IT solutions, has won Cisco’s Canadian Data Center Partner of the Year honour for the third year in a row.
“It’s a thrill to be recognized by Cisco for such a prestigious award . . . even more so when it’s three years running,” says Kent MacDonald, Long View’s Vice-President of Business Development. “Long View and Cisco are working together on some exciting projects that are revolutionizing virtualization and the data center concept.
“Thanks to our position as a leading Cisco partner, we’re providing the very best in support to our customers,” adds MacDonald, “by making available these advanced collaboration and data center solutions.”
The Canadian Data Center Partner of the Year award was announced March 1 during Cisco’s annual channel partner conference, Partner Summit 2011, at New Orleans. “Cisco works diligently with all of its channel partners, and it’s an honour to announce Long View as a Cisco Partner Summit regional award recipient,” says Jim Sherriff, senior vice-president of U.S. and Canada Partner Organization at Cisco. “The Canadian Data Center Partner of the Year award presented to Long View recognizes its performance and expertise as a Cisco channel partner in Canada in 2010.”

VCE’s Vblock Infrastructure Packages deliver a complete IT infrastructure that integrates best-of-breed virtualization, networking, compute, storage, security, and management technologies. Cisco, EMC and VMware have invested in industry-first collaborative delivery of seamless customer support with end-to-end vendor accountability.
“As we look down the road, companies will need to take a broader, more progressive approach to data center architecture,” says MacDonald. “The data center convergence technologies we are partnering on with Cisco and their eco partners put our customers on the cusp of technology while improving service, efficiency, and profitability.”
Cisco Partner Summit awards are presented at three levels — regional, theater, and global. Cisco Partner Summit U.S. and Canada regional awards reflect a partner’s performance in a given geographic region of the U.S. or Canada.
This marks Long View’s second award from Cisco Systems, a worldwide networking leader, in just over a month. On Jan. 30, Long View was recognized for achieving Cisco Channel Customer Satisfaction Excellence status in Canada for the third straight year.
