Etisalat enables Charity Organisations to receive online donations

Encourages adoption of e-commerce for Charity by waiving off the Etisalat Payment Gateway set up cost and monthly rentals in 2011
Etisalat today announced that it enables Charity Organisations to receive online donations through the Etisalat Payment Gateway (EPG). Charity organisations with a web presence can leverage Etisalat Payment Gateway service, free of cost in 2011, to generate online donations. Donors will be able to make online donations through the respective charity organizations’ websites using Etisalat Payment Gateways Services.
Donations are traditionally made to the respective Charity in cash or cheque payments. The creation of an online payment mechanism will encourage users to make donations at a click of a button, and further increase the in-flow of donations, through a convenient and interactive donation interface.
Commenting on the solution, Rashed Al Abbar , Etisalat’s Director of e-Commerce said: “Ramadan is the Holy Month of fasting and giving, with Charity being a prime focus for many individuals and businesses. By enabling online donations through Etisalat Payment Gateway service, Etisalat wants to encourage both the Charity Organisations and the donors to utilise the effectiveness of e-commerce. As a CSR focused organisation, Etisalat is also delighted to offer Etisalat Payment Gateway services free of cost till end of 2011, to further motivate and encourage Charities to adopt e-commerce, a service  that provides unlimited flexibility of time and convenience.”
