Research in Motion (RIM) is gearing up for their latest release, the much talked about BlackBerry Playbook. Well, as we all know, to roll out a device to the American masses will require said device to go through the motions over at the FCC first, and here we are with word of the PlayBook arriving at the FCC. There are some wireless test reports over at the site, and unfortunately, there isn’t much to look forward to since photos of the device as well as its user manual is still unreleased, no thanks to a confidentiality request. We do know that there will be a minimum of three models for the Wi-Fi only model, coming in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities to keep the 7? display at 1024 x 600 resolution company, not to mention a Texas Instruments OMAP 4430 dual core processor and 1GB RAM. Tipping the scales at 14 ounces thereabouts, the PlayBook might just give the iPad 2 a run for its money – who knows?
