Huawei highlights business strategies for fibre deployment at FTTx MEGNA summit

Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, will be presenting its latest innovations and business strategies for the deployment of fibre networks during the fourth annual FTTx MEGNA summit being held from October 17 – 18 at the One & Only Royal Mirage hotel in Dubai, UAE. In addition to being the Platinum Sponsor of the event, Huawei will also be collaborating on a number of topic-specific panels looking at how operators and developers can succeed in the fiber deployment through strategic business planning.
The roll out of FTTx networks has been a focus of telecom operators during the last several years, with fixed networks in particular entering an ultra-broadband era fuelled by abundant multimedia services and faster connection speeds. Governments across the region are playing an important role in accelerating FTTx deployment in a global scale.
Huawei continues to be a significant player in such projects, and has been successful in provisioning customized fibre solutions in large-scale commercial networks for regional partners such as Etisalat and Qtel.

Mr. Huang will join a number of senior representatives from the region’s operator community in planning for future fibre investments during the panel discussion “FTTx – Flexibility now…and 10 years from now” held on the first day of the summit. Mr. Huang says that Huawei will be focusing particularly on how operators can optimize business and deployment strategies to drive long-term economic and social development for local communities.
This year’s FTTx MEGNA summit—hosted by Informa—will be bringing together leading operators, vendors, property developers, regulatory authorities and analysts to exchange views on the future of fibre investments and network deployment in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia regions.
