Interactive Intelligence (Nasdaq: ININ), a global provider of unified IP business communications solutions, has acquired Agori Communications, GmbH, a Frankfurt, Germany-based reseller of the Interactive Intelligence multichannel contact center solutions.
Per the terms of the acquisition, which was effective Feb. 28, Interactive Intelligence has purchased 100 percent of Agori’s privately held stock in an all-cash transaction. For the year ended Dec. 31, 2010, Agori recorded revenues of $4.5 million before deductions for amounts paid to Interactive Intelligence for licenses and support.
Agori had been an Interactive Intelligence value-added reseller since 2002, providing sales, support, and implementation of the vendor’s products throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The acquisition will result in an Interactive Intelligence team in Germany of more than 20 employees. The headquarters for the combined operation will be located in a suburb of Frankfurt.
“Germany is the fourth largest economy in the world and was the leading revenue producer for us in EMEA in 2010,” said Interactive Intelligence founder and CEO, Dr. Donald E. Brown. “Agori has built an impressive customer base that includes brand-name companies such as Bosch Communication Center, Swiss Post Solutions, avocis (formerly known as The Bee Company), acoreus Collection Services, and Combitel.”
“Our acquisition of Agori will add to our employee base an experienced group of professionals who have a proven track record providing superior customer service to large companies. This acquisition is part of our strategy to accelerate business in key international markets. Our recently opened cloud-based communications data center in Frankfurt will add even greater momentum to our growing business in Germany,” Brown concluded.
Interactive Intelligence will continue to market its solutions in Germany through both its territory sales managers and through its existing channel of resellers.
