Nawras celebrates Omani Women’s Day with customers and family members

Nawras, Oman’s customer friendly communications provider, is ready to mark the second Omani Women’s Day with plans in place for a celebratory event to take place at the company’s main office in Azaiba. Nawras will take time to recognise the important roles that women play in the company and in the community, following the Royal Directive of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said to empower women.
When visiting a Nawras Store at Qurm City Center, Muscat City Center or at Azaiba on 17 October 2011, ladies will be presented with a token of appreciation as part of the company’s celebrations. The day will highlight the important role played by women in society, be this at work, in the home or in the wider community.
Khadija Al-Kindi, Nawras Customer Experience Manager, said, “Nawras is ready to celebrate Omani Women’s Day in a number of ways and we would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the ladies who are our customers. We are grateful that so many women have chosen Nawras and look forward to continuing to delight each and every one with our pleasingly different mobile and Home Broadband services.”
Nawras is proud to note that over a third of its people are women and their valuable contribution to the company and dedication to customers is never underestimated. Nawras is an equal opportunities employer and supports and encourages every individual in their career and personal development, regardless of gender.
During the company’s celebrations at the main office in Azaiba, an inspiring video will be shown that features eight ladies who have each worked at Nawras for the last seven years. The ladies share their stories and talk about what motivates and inspires them in their role as women at Nawras as well as in their respective family lives. They outline their major accomplishments to date and how these have helped to create the customer friendly approach offered by this full service provider.
In celebration of Omani Women’s Day, Nawras ladies have also combined their talents and enthusiasm to organise an informal gathering which is scheduled to take place later in the month. The event will feature a range of activities, music and a raffle draw. Such occasions provide great opportunities for Nawras family members to get closer and strengthen the strong bonds and teamwork that already exist. Developing close ties helps to provide the synergy that contributes to the company’s award-winning customer service.
