Omantel and National Bank of Oman (NBO) are pleased to announce the launch of electronic top and bill payment services for Omantel subscribers. With this new service, Omantel Subscribers can reload their credit wherever they are, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through NBO electronic banking channels.
This is another milestone in the two organizations journey to enhance the e-payment solutions that will make a difference to both organizations customers and continuously raise the bar for e-Banking in Oman.
Mr. Harshdeep Munjal, GM Retail and Private Banking, at NBO said: “We are focused to provide easy, convenient and innovative banking solutions to our customers. This latest initiative makes it easier for our customers to stay connected with their family and friends.”
Commenting on this new partnership, Nabil Ahmed Al Rawas General Manager of Customer Care at Omantel Consumer Business Unit said “We are constantly working on improving the services rendered to our customers and this new agreement with NBO will provide our customers holding their accounts with the bank with a new and convenient way to top up their “Hayyak” prepaid balance and to pay bills for their “Mada” mobile post-paid lines, fixed lines and internet connections at no extra cost”.
All Omantel subscribers with NBO accounts can easily top up their balance or pay their phone bills using the convenience of SMS Banking anytime and anywhere. To top up your phone balance with RO5 just send “TO” to 90303. For example, send “TO 5” to 90303. The service also allows you to top up or pay bills for your friends or family members by simply sending “TO” to 90303. For example send “TO 5 9XXXXXXX” to 90303. Also if the customer wishes to select his account to debit then send “TO” to 90303. For example send “TO 5 9XXXXXXX 1049XXXXXX001” 90303.
It is worth noting that NBO also plans to introduce these services on its Branches, ATMs and CCDMs for all NBO customers and non customers in the near future.
Customers can register for this feature by calling NBO call center on 800 77 0 77 to activate the service or by sending ‘RT’ to 90303.
