Omantel has announced that it is recruiting 200 new staff to the company as the company proactively responds to His Majesty’s Royal directives to create 50,000 new jobs in the Government and private sector across the country.
Since the announcement was made Omantel’s Human Resources department has been interviewing hundreds of potential candidates — with the priority given to individuals who have educational qualifications in telecommunications or information technology or other qualifications that meet the requirements of Oman’s leading telecommunications company.
Following the interview process the company has now announced that it has made 200 job offers to suitable candidates who will join Omantel and work across a broad range of departments and sectors across the country. Omantel’s Human Resources Planning Manager, Salim Khamisa al Moqbali said: “We have been delighted at the response to our advertisements to hire additional staff and the quality, enthusiasm and ability of the individuals we have interviewed.
“Omantel has now been able to make these job offers to a highly talented group of Omanis who have the skills and motivation to help us to continue to develop and grow the telecommunications sector in Oman and we are looking forward to welcoming them to the Omantel family.”
The new staff will be going through a comprehensive induction process to give them the skills and knowledge they need to undertake their new roles and responsibilities. Al Moqbali explained that as a committed equal opportunities employer the company has appointed a number of staff who are of special needs. Omantel brings individuals, families and businesses together and has successfully connected different parts of the country to each other and with the rest of the world.
