Orange Jordan has unveiled a new “green” cell phone tower design which operates on solar and wind power as part of a larger project to increase the use of renewable energy sources in the country, Jordan Times has reported. “The cutting-edge green technology that we have developed and implemented in collaboration with Caterpillar and Jordan Tractor & Equipment is expected to reduce our carbon emissions by four tonnes per year and save JD20,000 for every new tower,” said Orange Jordan CEO, Nayla Khawam.
