Hong Kong-based quadruple-play operator PCCW has reported that its core communications revenues for the twelve months ended 31 December 2010 rose by 3{e1f18614b95d3cd6e4b3128e1cd15d99b042a60a5a19c19b7a8e07e7495efa10} to HKD21.47 billion (USD2.75 million), driven by a 3{e1f18614b95d3cd6e4b3128e1cd15d99b042a60a5a19c19b7a8e07e7495efa10} increase in fixed broadband and voice turnover to HKD16.72 billion, attributed to data services growth. Consolidated sales were also boosted by a 2{e1f18614b95d3cd6e4b3128e1cd15d99b042a60a5a19c19b7a8e07e7495efa10} rise in mobile revenues to HKD1.71 billion and TV and content turnover which climbed 1{e1f18614b95d3cd6e4b3128e1cd15d99b042a60a5a19c19b7a8e07e7495efa10} to HKD2.38 billion. PCCW’s fixed broadband lines in service grew by 5{e1f18614b95d3cd6e4b3128e1cd15d99b042a60a5a19c19b7a8e07e7495efa10} in the year to 1.37 million, its number of mobile customers increased 4{e1f18614b95d3cd6e4b3128e1cd15d99b042a60a5a19c19b7a8e07e7495efa10} to 1.48 million, and a 4{e1f18614b95d3cd6e4b3128e1cd15d99b042a60a5a19c19b7a8e07e7495efa10} rise in IPTV users gave it a total of 1.04 million at end-2010. Annual consolidated EBITDA was up 5{e1f18614b95d3cd6e4b3128e1cd15d99b042a60a5a19c19b7a8e07e7495efa10} at HKD7.07 billion and the group posted a 28{e1f18614b95d3cd6e4b3128e1cd15d99b042a60a5a19c19b7a8e07e7495efa10} hike in after-tax profit to HKD1.93 billion.
