Qtel’s Mozaic viewers who have subscribed to channels that telecast the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup matches live will have a chance to win a trip to Sri Lanka for two to watch the semi-final from March 28 to 31.
The winner will get flights, hotel accommodation and top-level match tickets to enjoy the highly-anticipated semi-final.
Qtel launched a special offer in February that delivered Pehla entertainment channels on its popular Mozaic TV service taking into account the needs of thousands of cricket fans in Qatar.
The packages include unmatched live cricket coverage, including the 10th Cricket World Cup being co-hosted by India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
All that the customers need to do is subscribe or upgrade to the Pehla Silver package of Mozaic TV, and they will be entered into the prize draw.
Customers who sign-up for a year’s subscription to Pehla before March-end, will get two months free subscription.
For cricket fans, the Pehla Silver Package has 39 TV channels – including live ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 coverage – and is available for QR145 a month.
The Pehla Basic Package is also available on Mozaic TV, offering 25 channels, and is available for QR35 a month.
The two packages are being offered with the first two months’ subscription for free when customers sign-up for a year.
Existing Mozaic TV customers can apply for the Pehla channel packages by dialling 111 and asking to upgrade.
New customers can add the packages to their subscription when they sign-up for Mozaic services at any Qtel Shop or Starlink store.
Qtel said, “As well as huge viewing figures, the Cricket World Cup is also boosting travel from Qatar.
“Many expatriates in Qatar have requested time off from work and booked plane tickets to attend matches in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh for the event.”
