Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., a market leader and award-winning innovator in consumer electronics is now offering its differentiated content service to deliver free 3D Video-On-Demand (VOD) to Samsung Smart TV users. This service is gaining rapid popularity as the number of 3D VOD content views reached a one million milestone within just 100 days of its launch. Samsung is now planning to expand this 3D VOD service across the world including Pakistan.
Owners of any Samsung Smart TVs with a 3D function embedded, including 2010 Samsung 3D TV models, can enjoy Samsung’s 3D VOD service just by downloading the ‘Explore 3D’ application accessible on ‘Smart Hub’.
Samsung Pakistan’s Managing Director, Mr. Hee Chang Yee said; “We are making our utmost efforts to develop differentiated 3D content both quantitatively and qualitatively for Samsung Smart TV users who want richer 3D content. With our product superiority, as well as enriched content, Samsung Smart TV will continue to capture our customers’ heart.”
Samsung Smart TV users across the world will now be enabled to enjoy richer quality content with the best picture quality, as Samsung is working on widening the scope of content, such as trailers of popular animations, music videos and concert clips of popular pop singers, children’s classics, learning content for kids as well as documentaries.
Samsung has further enriched its content pool by offering trailers of Kung Fu Panda 2, and eight more IMAX 3D cinema documentaries which are 45 minutes long— drawing more popularity among consumers. This service is currently available in 17 countries including Korea, North America and Europe.
Particularly, a music video, titled “We are the world 25 for Haiti”, in which more than 80 music artists participated worldwide- including Quincy Jones, Lionel Richie and Jennifer Hudson, who joined to help earthquake survivors in Haiti. This content will now be available via the 3D VOD service on Samsung Smart TV.
