Security vulnerability detected on iPad and iPhone

Germany’s federal cybersecurity agency is warning of a vulnerability that could allow hackers to install malware on Apple iPads and iPhones, according to the Guardian.
The vulnerability could allow hackers to plant malware within a PDF file, which would then transfer the malware to the user’s device if they opened the file, the Federal Office for Information Security reported.
The vulnerability has so far been identified in iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad, iPad 2 and iPod Touch running iOS 4.3.3, although researchers have not ruled out that other versions of Apple OS might have the same vulnerability.
No attacks have yet been seen that exploit the vulnerability, but Apple has yet to issue a fix.
The vulnerability was detected by a group of hackers that were seeking to jailbreak the Apple OS. The group has issued an unofficial fix, available at www.jailbreakme.com, but users must first jail break their phone before applying the fix.
