First such partnership in the Northern Emirate to create a dedicated Etisalat outlet in SAIF providing a world class telecom infrastructure for businesses
The Sharjah International Airport Free Zone (SAIF) today announced the signing of an agreement with Etisalat as part of a strategic initiative aimed at delivering enhanced telecom & ICT services for tenants at the Freezone with direct access to Etisalat services on a priority basis. The agreement will benefit more than 5,200 companies currently operating at the Freezone employing more than 35,000 people.
As per the strategic agreement, Etisalat will establish a dedicated presence through an all encompassing outlet, within the Free Zone to bring all the benefits of enhanced ICT services for its tenants thereby making the Free Zone a better place for national and international companies to do business. Etisalat, through its constant interaction with SAIF customers, would be able to understand their ICT requirements better and provide customized solutions that will further enhance productivity for these organizations.
According to Mr.Taryam Mattar Taryam, General Manager, at SAIF Zone: “Since its inception the Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF-Zone), has been instrumental in triggering the Emirate’s evolution into the epicenter of economic activity. With a hundred fold increase in member companies since its initiation, the SAIF-Zone has completed 16 successful years and has surpassed several milestones of growth and expansion. Our partnership with Etisalat marks yet another accomplishment for SAIF in our commitment to provide a world class infrastructure for companies who are based in SAIF.”
According to Abdul Aziz Hamad Taryam, General Manager, Northern Emirates at Etisalat, “This significant milestone will pave the way for delivery of world class communication services to the Free Zone. Our intention is to work very closely with SAIF to understand their needs and help them achieve their business objectives by enhancing their ICT infrastructure, improving operational efficiency, boosting productivity and optimizing costs through a partnership based approach.”
SAIF-Zone is built adjacent to the Sharjah International Airport. It is also the symbol of efficient operations with easy accessibility to main seaports on the Indian Ocean (Port Khor Fakkan) and the Arabian Gulf (Port Khalid), registering phenomenal growth since its inception.
