Sony has launched two new Cybershot digital cameras, the Cyber-shot TX55 and the WX30, in the Middle East.
Both cameras offer DSLR-style still photos, Full HD videos as well as 3D images, and are equipped with a 16.2 megapixel Exmor R CMOS sensor, designed to offer good image detail and ultra-low picture noise, even in low light conditions.
The cameras also feature the new ‘By Pixel Super Resolution’ technology, which is designed to boost zoom range to 10x without quality loss at the image sensor’s maximum resolution and boost the quality of still images during movie recording.
The Cyber-shot TX55 is 12.2mm thick and captures Full HD AVCHD video clips as well as 16.2 megapixel still images. It is also able to shoot panoramas with a 42.9 megapixel resolution, 3D Sweep Panorama and 3D Still Images. The camera’s back panel has a 8.3 cm Xtra Fine OLED wide touchscreen.
The TX55 is also the first Cyber-shot camera that includes a slot to accept Memory Stick Micro (M2) and microSD/SDHC flash memory cards.
The Cyber-shot WX30 offers stills, Full HD video and 3D shooting and is the first Cyber-shot WX series model that features a 7.5 cm Xtra Fine LCD wide touch screen.
The camera has a SteadyShot Active Mode, designed to provide additional electronic image stabilisation for vertical and horizontal handshake correction during Full HD video shooting.
Intelligent Sweep Panorama also features High Resolution mode, letting users capture 42.9 megapixel panoramas.
The TX55 and WX30 have the Picture Effect mode, which allows users to access more artistic options such as HDR Painting, Rich-tone Monochrome, Miniature, Toy Camera, Partial Colour, Pop Colour and Soft High-key.
The Cyber-shot WX30 is compatible with the Party-shot IPT-DS2 docking base, which is designed to automatically pan, tilt and zoom the camera as it searches for faces in a party or group settings.
The Cyber-shot TX55 and WX30 cameras, as well as the range of Memory Stick Micro and SR series MicroSD/SDHC media cards by Sony are available across Jumbo Electronics and other leading electronics retailers in the Middle East.
