STC offers 1st PlayStation mobile phone

STC has launched the sales of the Sony Ericsson XperiaPLAY, the first PlayStation, certified Android Smartphone (powered by Google Android version 2.3), that offers users a whole new experience of 3D gaming by being the first smartphone that supports actual gaming control, along with the availability of 150,000 applications, according to a press release issued from the STC.
The XperiaPLAY is available at STC outlets across the Kingdom for only SR2,999. The price includes connection vouchers for free WiFi service that can access more than 2000 sites through the M3com portal: m3com.com.sa for 12 months, as well as a 250MB Quicknet SIM card every month for 6 months.
Dimensions of the XperiaPLAY smart phone are 119.0 x 62.0 x 16.0 mm and the device weighs 175g. Specifications of the high definition multi-touch 4 inch screen are 854 x 480 pixels / 4.2” 16,777,216 color TFT. The 5.1 megapixel high resolution camera has a built in memory that can support microSD cards up to 32GB.

By launching this new device, we are enabling people to enjoy their favorite games over their mobile smartphone, which will definitely raise the video gaming experience to an exciting new level.”
