As part of activating its partnership with Microsoft International, STC stated that it will highlight the main features of its future vision pertaining to innovative services and solutions in ICT during its presence at the Microsoft Executives Summit in Seattle in the US. An STC delegation headed by Eng. Saud Al Daweesh will attend the meetings.
STC has recently signed a “Strategic Alliance Framework” with Microsoft International with an aim to exchange expertise, employment, and best utilization of Microsoft products in particular Microsoft products to develop services and solutions offered by STC to both its internal and external customers. Representing STC in the agreement signing was Eng. Omer bin Abdullah Alnomany, Vice President for Information Technology and Mr. Sameer Numan President of Microsoft Arabia on behalf of Microsoft International.
The “Strategic Alliance Framework” includes several elements such as developing an advanced platform for technological services to enhance the capabilities and initiatives of the two parties with regards to delivering innovative services and solutions to the enterprise sector and other customers. The Partnership also includes the provision of new package of services that is based on the “Cloud Computing” concept, establishing a Microsoft Training Center within STC in order to facilitate training, knowledge transfer and expertise exchange processes, the availability of a consultant from Microsoft as part of the STC team in addition to Premiere Service and the National Computers’ Initiative “Windows Phone 7, IPTV, XBOX”.
“This Strategic Alliance opens wide horizons in many aspects, on one hand, it serves the actualization and realization of the interests of the company’s internal and external customers in the field of developed innovative solutions and products,” said Eng. Omer Alnomany. “On the other hand, it explicitly contributes to the economic-social development process in our country by coordinating the efforts of the two giant companies to launch effective IT initiatives to enhance the performance of the entire enterprise sector.”
STC is in the forefront when it comes to the ICT sector by signing such a Partnership Agreement of this size and Scope. This agreement also comes in line with the efforts exerted by the company to upgrade and develop its performance in terms of both services and technology. Doing so, the Company aims to maintain its advanced level it attained in serving its customers, meeting their needs and desires which all comes as part of the Company’s customer centric strategy.
