Telenor buys back 855,000 of its own shares

Telenor has on 9 August 2011 purchased 855,000 own shares at an average price of NOK 83.83 per share. After this transaction, Telenor owns a total of 28,104,021 own shares.
The transaction is part of the share buyback programme announced by Telenor Group on 21 July 2011. The buyback programme comprises around 48 million shares, of which close to half will be repurchased in the open market.
