Vodafone moves call centre to NZ, plans to create 125 new jobs

Vodafone New Zealand has planned to move its customer care services back in-house and has announced to create 125 local jobs by consolidating all of its contact centre operations in New Zealand.

From May the operation of company’s only offshore call centre in Egypt, which has dealt with calls from consumer mobile customers since 2007, will shift back to New Zealand. Vodafone’s other three call centres are all New Zealand based.
The 125 new staff will join the 500-strong existing contact centre team in Auckland answering customer enquiries through a variety of channels.
