Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, was honored by industry peers this week during the sixth edition of the CommsMEA Awards—taking place on 29th November in Dubai, UAE—where the company was presented the title of “Middle East Vendor of the Year”.
The distinction recognizes Huawei’s leadership in providing innovative and customized network solutions across the Middle East and creating long-term value and growth potential for its partners.
“This past year has been marked by incredible achievements throughout the region’s ICT community,” said Mr. Yi Xiang, President for Middle East, Huawei. “Working alongside many leading operators and regulators, Huawei’s experienced and dedicated teams have built a distinguished track record in meeting our customers’ business challenges with solutions that integrate innovation, quality, and value.”
Within the last year, Huawei has been deeply involved in standards research and putting new technologies into commercial use serving the region’s leading operators. The company has also expanded its presence in terms of industry breadth and depth, enhancing its position within the carrier market on a global level.
Such innovations have earned Huawei numerous industry recognitions, which in the last few months alone have included the Global Growth & Innovation in Telecom Managed Services award by Frost & Sullivan, Best Contribution to LTE Standards at LTE North America 2011, and the Excellence in Customer Perception of Service Quality award by GIL Global, amongst others.
