Batelco Gold Sponsorship Supports “Greener and Smarter ICT- challenges and Opportunities” Seminar

Batelco, as part of its commitment to support educational establishments and also ‘green’ initiatives was delighted to take on the role of gold sponsor for the Greener and Smarter ICT Seminar held at the Royal University of Women (RUW) last week. The Seminar took place under the patronage of His Excellency Sh. Abdulla Bin Rashid Al Khalifa Governor of The Southern Governorate, Kingdom of Bahrain.
The seminar’s objective was to create awareness about environmentally friendly initiatives and how implementing a range of ‘green’ initiatives can positively change our lives.
Batelco Senior Manager Pre-Sales & Solutions Safwan Zain participated as a moderator and Senior Manager Building Services and Projects Fadhel Al Shehabi gave a presentation about Batelco’s initiatives already implemented and those in process as part of the Company’s ‘going green’ programme. Additionally, Batelco Manager Sales, Government Sector Sawsan Noor accepted a certificate and award presented to Batelco for their generous support by H.E. Sh. Abdulla Bin Rashid Al Khalifa.
Batelco Group General Manager Media Relations Ahmed Al Janahi said that Batelco was very pleased to support the seminar  as part of its commitment to educational initiatives in the Kingdom.
“Additionally, the seminar also highlighted the importance of being environmentally friendly, which is high on Batelco’s agenda. We believe that individuals can be healthier, happier and better everyday by availing of the knowledge provided by experts such as those that participated in the event.”
