Cisco today confirmed that its Chief Globalization Officer, Wim Elfrink will present his vision of how the role of technology is enabling sustainable growth in a keynote speech at ITU Telecom World 2012, taking place in Dubai 14 – 18 October.
As the world is changing at a pace never seen before, Wim Elfrink will review what the biggest economic, social and demographic shifts in history means for cities, communities and countries. Specifically he will explore how technology will empower communities and transform industries by enabling multi-dimensional applications with the potential to realize benefits in economic, social and environmental sustainability.
His speech will look at how we can leverage technology to enable institutional innovation that will drive new markets, create jobs, boosts productivity and resource efficiency and provide opportunities for sustainable growth.
The Keynote speech will take place between 5:30pm and 6:15pm on Wednesday October 17th 2012 at ITU Telecom World 2012. The leading platform for the global ICT community to share knowledge and build consensus on the issues shaping the industry today, ITU Telecom World 2012 will bring together high-level representatives from public and private sector alike in five days of critical debate.
