du invites anyone who believes they have the creative ability to write moving, artistic lyrics to participate in the competition, which will run until 20 November.
“This is the first time that the people of our nation have been invited to create a song to portray their patriotic spirit. We created this competition as the ideal channel for people to express their feelings of love and loyalty to the UAE, and to give voice to their gratitude to our country’s leadership for their wise direction,” said Ahmad Bin Byat, Chairman, du. “The song will be dedicated to the UAE on behalf of the Emirati people, on the occasion of the UAE’s 41st National Day.”
Bin Byat added, “Our UAE National Day Campaign was created by a team of our dedicated Emirati colleagues, who will oversee the entire initiative and ensure that it is executed to the best standards. To this end, we have enlisted the help of some of our nation’s finest artists, Ali, Shamma and Fayez. I would like to invite and encourage everyone to contribute their personal voice and feelings to this initiative.”
“Through this initiative we wanted to present people with a medium for them to connect and express their appreciation to the UAE, which blends with our role as a telecom provider. The moment we launched it on Twitter the response was overwhelming, which reflects the desire for such an initiative. I encourage all companies to design their activities based on the interests of their customers and the society in large which will be the success factor,” he concluded.
