Singaporean Minister of Communications Dr. Yakoub Ibrahim led a top level delegation here today, to visit STC headquarters in Riyadh, accompanied by Eng. Mohammed Jameel bin Ahmed Mullah, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Dharrab, the Governor of the Commission of Communications and Information. During the visit, he met with Deputy CEO of STC Group Jameel bin Abdullah Al-Molhem and a number of its senior executives.
During the meeting, they discussed issues related to communications and information technology sector.
The minister was briefed, also, on the history of the Group and its successive developments, since inception up to the date, and how it carries out with its strategic plans, a fact that, strongly contributed to its consolidation and flourish, notably realizing them in, regionally as well as worldly, wide-spread deployment.
The delegation has witnessed the great potentials and capacities of the Group, in addition to state-of-the-art it enjoys, and the work at King Khalid Center for Network Control, and the leading role played by the Information Center at STC complex, Riyadh.
At the end of the visit, the minister pointed out that STC Group has played a significant role in building up individuals and development in 11 countries, around the world achievements, because it did not focus only on realizing profit targets, but also on exceeding that o take part in building nations and their development.
The minister expressed admiration at what he have come across to see and its achievements in the latest years, stressing that it is the foremost leader of CIT providers in the Kingdom, because of what it provides of amazing products, through wide-range deployment across the world, asserting that these innovative services goes in tandem with current tempo which could not be done without enjoying creativeness and dynamism, to reflect concrete and tangible progress achieved by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
