Etisalat honored for philanthropic contribution at Dubai Cares fifth anniversary ceremony

In another validation of its commitment to social welfare and community development, Etisalat was honored at the fifth anniversary ceremony of Dubai Cares. Etisalat was recognized for exceptional contribution to philanthropic activities at the ceremony, which was held to commemorate the ongoing success of the Dubai Cares campaign. The ceremony, held on July 31 at Madinat Jumeirah, was attended by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and HH Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
The award was presented to Etisalat by HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, who handed over the trophy of appreciation to Mr Saleh Al Abdooli, Chief Executive Officer of Etisalat UAE. The ceremony saw Sheikh Hamdan and Sheikh Maktoum honor the entities and individuals who provided a high level of support to Dubai Cares.
Accepting the award on behalf of Etisalat, Mr Al Abdooli thanked Dubai Cares and HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for the noble gesture and for his vision and guidance in making Dubai Cares a humanitarian success for people across countries. Mr Al Abdooli highlighted that the nature of the campaign reflected the spirit of generosity and benevolence that the UAE stands for and the country’s continuing support for humanitarian initiatives, which was in line with Etisalat’s core values.
Since the inception of the campaign, Etisalat has been one of the main supporters of Dubai Cares initiatives, which has succeeded in reaching out to over seven million children in 28 countries over the past five years.
