Huawei launches LTE TDD mobile backhaul service

Huawei has unveiled eRelay, the LTE TDD mobile backhaul service to meet small cell transmission challenges, at the CTIA Wireless 2012 event. Huawei’s formulation of the eRelay service was based on the analysis of micro base station deployments. It utilises SingleRAN’s unified hardware platform, advanced LTE technology, 256 high-order QAM and MIMO technology, and provides bandwidth and transmission capacity. The Huawei eRelay service uses NLOS (Non-Line of Sight) transmission and supports PtMP (Point-to-Multipoint) transmission.
