Al-Daweesh Addressing Pan-Arab Telecommunications’ Forum: Raising Productivity by Means of Technology Cancels old-fashion Job, Creates 3 more-advanced.
The CEO of STC Group Eng. Saud bin Majed Al-Daweesh asserted that the “next decade will witness crucial transformations in which the dominance in the domain of the internet will see changing of controlling hands, as it shifts from the western individuals and institutions to their counterparts in the emerging markets countries, eastwards, especially through the main vehicle to access the net, nowadays and in the future, i.e. the mobile phones.
Al-Daweesh, was addressing the 11th Arab Telecommunications and Internet Forum which has been concluded in Beirut yesterday, under the auspices of STC Group, in the presence of Lebanese Minister of Communications Nichola Sahnawi and his Saudi counterpart Eng. Mohammed bin Jameel Ahmed Mullah, Minister of Communications and Information Technology and the Secretary General of the International Telecommunications Union Dr. Hamdoun Toure.
Communications and Informatics technology plays a significant role to interconnect the main hubs of an economy, thus contributes to growth and creation of more jobs at number of arenas in the various economic sectors.
Having a better environment for business doing, in both the industrial and service sectors, helps a lot to give a push, too, notably if supported by communication networks, locally and regionally speaking.
That was a conclusion we reached by studying the ranks of competitiveness of the countries concerned to the development of telecommunications and informatics technology, Al-Daweesh said, in addition to what was proved by recently released studies on how using of technology leads to cancelling of an old-fashion job and creating of three more-advanced ones, instead.
Al-Daweesh expected that a chain reaction changes will occur in the dynamics of socio-economic activities around the world, as a result of a host of factors such as the improvement of the broadband speeds, its related services and internet technology, a few among to mention, pointing out to the central role in the economy played by the telecommunications and informatics sector, a fact that positively reflected in more development and better environment for telecommunication and its related services.
Upgrading national competitiveness through an infrastructure capable of securing the best productivity and better local and foreign investments in the Arab world, is conducive to attract the talents and experiences and, therefore, raise innovation edge, we are all in need, in different Arab countries, especially that we have secured a fertile environment, to keep abreast with the state-of-art and up-to-date technologies.
