Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) announced the completion of the exploratory project for the Comprehensive Service Fund Project. The project aims to provide voice and broadband internet connectivity to the residents of the districts of Khulais and Al-Kamel in the Makkah Region, and the district of Mahd Al-Dhahab in the Madina Region.
Mobily was the first Telecom Operator in the Kingdom to fully complete the entire Comprehensive Service Fund Project that is supervised by the Communications and Information technology Commission; as part of its ninth development plan for the Kingdom, and only to add to its record of national achievements, another yet outstanding achievement which once again proves its superiority in quality and time management.
Mobily said that 482 villages that belong to these provinces have been covered in a record time despite the region’s terrain nature, and 153 locations have been developed with advanced 3G technology while being connected to the switchboard via Mobily’s huge Optical Fibers’ Network.
Engineer Nasser Al Nasser, Mobily’s CTO MRN, assured that the project was executed based on a time limit and a technical plan that is made up of several stages. “Mobily was not threatened by the region’s terrestrial nature”, he said, “on the contrary , workers on the project insisted they fully complete this project on time; and that is exactly what happened and we have god to thank for that.”
Al Nasser extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Communications and Information Technology Commission for the opportunity it has given Mobily; to fulfil its national duty, and to achieve the country’s overall orientation by having communications services reach all the Kingdom’s residents. He also praised the Board’s admirable cooperation and keenness to complete the project on time.
Al Nasser then explained that Mobily operates according to a clear vision which states distributing the most advanced Telecom Networks in the world in all of the Kingdom’s regions, not to mention, states playing a pivotal role in the advancement of economical development in the Kingdom with the aid of Mobily’s technical and manpower.
Al Nasser then thanked all involved parties in the project for their outstanding efforts, and for bearing all the circumstances they came across, he then praised their pleasant determination which was one of the many motives that contributed to the completion of the project on time.
Mobily is currently working on a number of development projects with both the private and public sector, after the famed assertion in its highly reliable infrastructure, where at present, it is working on the second phase of E-Government project, not to mention it has previously connected the transportation Ministry with all of its scattered branches across the Kingdom via its Optical Fibers’ Network.
