Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) is launching its Flexi Multiradio CDMA Base Station at International CTIA Wireless 2012 next week. The base station is energy efficient, allowing a migration to LTE. The base station is suitable for indoor and outdoor locations. Using the Flexi Multiradio Base Station format makes the integration of CDMA into multi-technology sites straightforward, which is especially important given the ongoing adoption of LTE. The base station provides CDMA 1X Advanced (voice) and EV-DO (data) capacities. With this base station, operators can be assured that their CDMA investments are protected as they transition towards LTE. The Flexi Multiradio CDMA Base Station is backed by Nokia Siemens Networks’ global experts and a portfolio of services including consultancy, design and planning, systems integration, deployment, optimisation, maintenance, and managed services. The Flexi Multiradio CDMA Base Station will be available for commercial deployments in the 800MHz and 1900MHz frequency bands by the end of this year, with additional frequency bands provided based on market demand.
