Omantel warns over suspicious calls

Omantel has asked its customers to be on the alert about suspicious calls from unknown numbers claiming that they have won cash prizes from the company. Manager of Complaints Management at Omantel’s Consumer Business Unit, Saif Sultan Al Abri, said fraudsters are inventing new ways to lure mobile users. They pretending customers have won cash prizes, then ask for personal information such as their name, address and bank account number. He called said customers should not respond to any suspicious calls and should rep ort them immediately.
