PCCW, Eastern Fibernet partner on Guangdong cloud services

PCCW Solutions, the IT and business process outsourcing services unit of Hong Kong ICT provider PCCW, has formed an alliance with Guangdong Eastern Fibernet to provide cloud computing services in Guangdong province. The two companies will jointly develop cloud computing data centres in Guangdong and provide a range of cloud computing services, including desktop cloud, server cloud, and cloud storage services. The two companies will also offer bespoke cloud services for government, financial institutions, and large corporations. Eastern Fibernet is jointly owned by the Citic Group and Guangdong Pearl River Investment and operates a fibre network in Guangdong that interconnects with all major network operators.
