STC associates volunteered their time and efforts with the “Al-Bir” charity to provide Iftar to the needy. The Iftar was held at the charity’s branch in “Al-Rabwa” and “Al-Nazeem” avenues.
The initiative comes to reinforce STC’s social responsibility, and to encourage employees to participate and volunteer with charities and to contribute to society. It also encourages them to uphold valuable heritage such as the charity Iftar dinner which is considered a tradition in the kingdom. The initiative also provides a platform upon which every segment of the Saudi society can participate and develop bonds.
It is worth mentioning that Al-Bir’s abovementioned location hosts approximately 2500 people who come to break their fast at the dinner which is held every day in Ramadan in 3 large tents; the biggest of which is on Exit 14. The dinner includes a full meal in addition to various drinks, which are prepared in compliance with laws and regulations that ensure the nutritional value and safety for all beneficiaries of these occasions. These events are very popular in the kingdom, especially among volunteers and good-doers, as they can contribute or support the events financially or by committing physically and donating food.
“Al-Bir” officials expressed their delight and gratitude to STC’s contribution and pointed to STC’s numerous social responsibility initiatives, stressing that the presence of its associates at this event is an indicator of the good-will culture that STC grows on. They also indicated that this event will stage for future partnerships in charity work.
