STC Group the Powerful Engine of Regional Communications and Information Technology Sector

STC Group ranked atop, regionally speaking, as the great potentials of its global network made it the main engine of communications and information technology sector, in the Middle East, however, that fact is a big challenge in front, to keep moving ahead through providing the up-to-date technologies s and services in the region, to enable other regional operators to take advantage of its wide-spread networks, in line with Rieyada, STC Group adopted strategy to achieve greater spreading in service providing, across the region.
As it, already, has established special strategic partnerships, it signed, in Jordan, an accord to extend current agreements and to expand the provided capacities, notably on internet-transport services. In Kuwait it signed a number of commercial agreements through which a number of services will be provided, in addition to concluding a partnership agreement with Djibouti, in which an international presence port (POP) will be established, in order to provide a host of services, taking into consideration the strategic site of Djibouti in Africa, as it is considered to be the Eastern Gate of the continent as well as being tightly interconnected with Jeddah by several maritime cables. This new Djibouti-situated POP helps to reach out to the regional markets in Ethiopia and Somalia. The latter will be done, in collaboration, with the Sudanese Sudantel, to break into new markets, especially, in the Southern Sudan.
It’s noteworthy that STC Group has managed in 2011 to establish itself as the local and regional leader, alike, by several achievements, such as completion of functioning of and expanding four continental and international cables, in which STC Group has stakes in, an advantage that betrays other regional operators.
STC Group is a partner in more than 10 maritime cables, across the region, in addition to owning spare capacities in other overseas cables. Consequently, STC Group commands huge capabilities, now in use, and for future use, too, to communicate with different countries in the world, and as a result, STC Group is managing to provide world-class services of great quality and reliability, due to the diversity in phone traffic venues, data transport and internet-related services. STC Group is operating, for the time being, more than 600GB of its global capacity.
