ZTE said it said exceeded its target to sell 12 million smartphones last year and expects the number to double in 2012. Smartphone sales were up 400 percent last year as the Chinese company expanded its range and moved into new countries. In 2012, ZTE is also targeting a bigger market share in Europe, North America, Brazil and Japan. In addition it will work on developing LTE devices and mid-to high-end devices. Presenting its strategy at the CES in Las Vegas, ZTE said it will launch a full series of LTE handset products, including smartphones, hotspots, tablets and fixed station products. ZTE is demonstrating LTE handsets including Arthur, LTE tablets V6 and V8, LTE hotspots MF91, LTE data cards MF 880 and MF821, LTE CPE MF28D, and the Windows Phone Tania at CES.
