Du flies 350 UAE fans to Bahrain to support UAE team in Gulf Cup of Nations final

In a display of national pride and in coordination with the UAE Football League, Du has chartered a flight to take 350 football fans, including customers and members of the telecom’s staff, to Bahrain, to provide full support to the UAE team as they compete in what promises to be a riveting Gulf Cup of Nations final match.

The UAE will play Iraq on 18 January, in the Bahrain National Stadium.
Du sent an invitational SMS to a selection of its Emirati, Diamond & Elite Plan customers, who joined the trip on a first come, first served basis.
The customers are invited to bring with them one Emirati friend, and will be accompanied by representatives from the company led by Chief Commercial Officer, Farid Faraidooni, as well as members of staff, winners of an internal competition and selected guests.
In light of the occasion, Farid Faraidooni, Chief Commercial Officer, Du, extended congratulations to the UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, as well as to Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of Emirates, and the people of the UAE.
“Our hearts are filled with pride to see the UAE national football team compete in the Gulf Cup of Nations final against Iraq. We wish them the very best of luck as they go forth and represent the sporting prowess of our country.
