Nokia presents innovative private LTE and Industry 4.0 solutions at GITEX 2020

Nokia showcases several transformational technologies and use cases, including Industry 4.0, SD-WAN and private wireless, at Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX) in Dubai World Trade Center from December 6-10, 2020. Nokia’s subject matter experts also participate in several panels during the event to share their insights on using cutting-edge technologies to enhance operational efficiency of enterprises. The demos are in line with the Vision 2021 of the UAE Government, which promotes the use of innovative technologies to build a knowledge economy.

The exciting demonstrations are designed to present the transformative power of new-age technologies. Attendees at GITEX 2020 can get opportunity to interact with Nokia’s subject matter experts at the exhibition. Below are the details of the demos to be conducted across industry verticals by Nokia at the event:

Powering critical connectivity with industrial-grade private wireless solutions

Nokia showcases its private wireless solutions, architecture difference, benefits, breadth of capabilities and relative applications for critical connectivity with industrial-grade private wireless solutions.

Private wireless network for Industry 4.0

As part of this demo, Nokia leveraging a Mobile Industrial Robot (MiR) demonstrates improved material handling, efficiency and throughput with a private wireless network. The MiR shows a speed difference when connected with a 4G over WiFi network and demonstrates avoidance and navigation around obstructions. On the other hand, the MiR SLAM software provides a precise location along with the camera and LiDAR data into the factory edge cloud for real-time display on monitor dashboard for AGV fleet management and collaboration.

Ensuring worker safety with enhanced situational awareness

Nokia presents how its private wireless solutions with Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) allow industrial organizations such as ports, airports, mines, utilities, processing plants, factories and warehouses, to improve workers’ safety. Situational awareness ensures better management of people and assets.

Nuage Networks SD-WAN white label service

The company also demonstrates how Nuage Networks SD-WAN white label service can dramatically mitigate business risks for CSPs and SIs who want to enter the SD-WAN managed services market right away with an industry-proven solution that can be tailored for each enterprise customer. Based on industry-leading Virtualized Network Services (VNS) SD-WAN 2.0 technology, this service provides best in class flexibility, scale, and security meeting specific and unique enterprise connectivity requirements. This cloud-based, multi-tenant SD-WAN service has all infrastructure components fully maintained by Nuage Networks in secure cloud hosting centers where it has full control and autonomy.
