The “Furijat with qitaf” campaign, led by stc and the General Directorate of Prisons, has donated SAR 5,702,404 riyals to contribute to the release of prisoners. The loyalty program “qitaf” joined the campaign launched by the Ministry of the Interior last year to assist detainees in settling their debts, which contributed to the release of 36 prisoners.

As part of the campaign, stc customers subscribed to the “qitaf” loyalty program, have been able to donate their points to contribute to the release of “Furijat” beneficiaries anytime and anywhere since the launch of the campaign last year. They have done so by converting their “qitaf” points to financial sums that help pay the debts of detainees.

stc has made the donation of “qitaf” points possible through the mystc application and by sending SMS messages to the number 900 as follows:

Send 9888 (space) number of points to 900.

The “Furijat with qitaf” was launched by stc to assist detainees whose release depends on settling their debts. It represents a hopeful aspect and excellent example of social responsibility.

The “qitaf” program is the largest loyalty program in the Middle East. It enables its subscribers to earn and redeem points at more than 170 commercial brands and over 7000 outlets in addition to partnerships with websites.

On April 16th, stc responded to the donations made by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince to the “Ehsan” platform by donating SAR 10 million as part of the national campaign for charitable work.

The group also offered support in operating and providing the call center for Ehsan through a team dedicated to responding to over 900 calls per day, and sending text messages to introduce the platform and its objectives. The initiative forms part of the company’s commitment to sustainable contributions, and of its efforts to harness its digital capabilities to empower the non-profit sector. The partnership with the platform is under the supervision of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and other official bodies.
