$10M-prizes-combating-covid-19

For the second consecutive year, the Saudi Arabian Federation for Electronic and Intellectual Sports (SAFEIS) launched the global Gamers Without Borders charity initiative, with the participation of stc play as a title sponsor. The initiative started on 7June and will last until 8 August 2021, with total prizes amounting to up to $10 million and proceeds going entirely toward efforts to combat the covid-19 pandemic.
This huge global event draws several gamers and gaming fans from across the world, with all eyes turned to the top competing clubs. Elite professional gamers and celebrity guests from the world of sports and entertainment will also take part.

This year No One Left Behind edition aims to help vulnerable countries in the rollout of vaccines through the donation of prizes to the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, which will in turn donate them to global charities helping in vaccine rollout to these
vulnerable countries across the world, namely GAVI, UNICEF, Direct Relief, and the International Medical Corps.

The event will include tournaments for several games, such as Rocket League, FIFA 21, CS:GO, Rainbow Six Siege, PUBG Mobile, and Fortnite. Additionally, the initative will host several talk shows and meet-and-greets and over 300 community tournaments, along with an educational platform. These will pave the way for thousands to kickstart their own e-sports
and gaming journeys.

This charity initiative is in line with stc's strategy as a digital company that constantly seeks to adopt initiatives with long-lasting impact, including enabling the youth, training talents, and reinforcing community development according to a well-rooted sustainable development concept, so as to keep pace with Vision 2030 objectives.

It should be noted that the stcplay platform, which supports all gamers and gaming enthusiats of all levels, be they amateurs or professionals, will enable the e-sports community to manage activities and initiatives, and to participate through a distinctive digital experience that is consistent with SAFEIS programs and initiatives in all relevant future programs and
initiatives, which will seek to provide chances to create future talents in this field.
