Huawei: ‘Lighting up the future’ at MWC 2022

Huawei-seeks-to-‘Light-up-the-Future’-at-MWC-2022

Huawei is marking the return of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) as a fully-fledged physical event with a significant presence at the event in Barcelona. Guided by the theme of “Lighting up the Future”, Huawei’s stand at the event features scenarios of how businesses can ensure success through digital transformation, how carriers should prepare for the imminent Gigaverse, and how providers can embed sustainability in their operations.

In its “Lighting up the Connected Future” demo area, Huawei shares its vision for the future world of 2030 and the forces that will shape the decade. Businesses will increasingly turn to advanced ICT technologies leading to industry-wide digitalization to improve service delivery and the customer experience. Huawei is highlighting the technology-driven forces shaping our world. These technologies include 5G Advanced, 6G, IPv6+, and advanced computing technologies that enable new applications unattainable with previous technologies.

According to Huawei, carriers should prepare for the Gigaverse, a world where bandwidth will be measured in gigabits. In this case, operators should be ready to support a gigabit experience for everyone, expand Gigabit coverage everywhere, and support the digital transformation of all industries.

With experience building some of the most advanced networks globally, Huawei can help service providers roll out the target Mobile Broadband “Gigaverse” Network by maximizing the value of the MBB network. Massive MIMO/multi-antenna solutions help carriers maximize site value by deploying to provide more comprehensive coverage with fewer sites. Providers can also maximize spectrum value by using fewer modules with larger capacity.

At MWC 2022, Huawei is dedicating significant effort to sustainability at MWC, illustrating the significance of green ICT to carriers and enterprise customers. Huawei is showcasing how it can support carriers to optimize one of their most significant cost centers: energy. The company can now help build highly energy-efficient (green) sites, networks and operations. Energy efficiency provides two benefits for carriers. It helps reduce carbon footprint to meet their ESR goals, while lowering energy expenses to meet their cost reduction goals.

Meanwhile, operators are also under increased pressure to provide better customer service even as they outsource customer care to digital channels such as chatbots. Done right, digital transformation allows operators to elevate their customer experience in multiple directions, from a better understanding of their customers to providing an experience that continuously delights them and, when problems occur, respond quicker. At this year’s MWC, we see how Huawei has supported over 100 digital transformation projects and has developed a set of best practices based on this experience. Visitors to the booth get a hands-on demonstration of world-leading, tech-driven customer experiences at work.

Throughout Huawei’s impressive MWC exhibition, the company’s vision to bring digital to every person, home and organization for a fully connected, intelligent world clearly shines through. It has done so by demonstrating once again at Mobile World Congress how innovating with global customers and partners can help turn dreams into reality.
