Moro Hub signs MoU with RealNetworks to complement its holistic Integrated Physical Security Platform (IPSP) for its customers

Moro Hub, a subsidiary of Digital DEWA, the digital arm of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RealNetworks to complement its Integrated Physical Security Platform with the leading facial recognition technology. The MoU establishes a framework for Moro Hub to integrate SAFR deep-learning engine with its Integrated Physical Security Platform (IPSP) to deliver accurate, fast, unbiased face recognition (FR) and additional computer vision features.

With this collaboration, Moro Hub aims to offer a holistic Integrated Physical Security Platform and accelerate an efficient and secured integrated business environment for its clients. In addition, this partnership will set new standards in the market by providing the highest levels of FR accuracy for automated surveillance, providing access control and generating analytics while ensuring maximum flexibility and efficiency on deployment, thereby ensuring safe cities. But, that’s not all; SAFR combined with the next generation hosting capabilities of Moro Hub will provide flexibility and reduce dependency on bandwidth and compute resources.

“Moro Hub is committed to enhancing the safety and security of its customers. This is aligned with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Our partnership with RealNetworks is a key step towards accelerating our efforts to elevate the security services in the country, to promote, preserve and enhance smart living and seamless business operations,” said Mohammad Bin Sulaiman, CEO of Moro Hub.

While law enforcement agencies and governmental institutions primarily use automated surveillance, face-based access control is used by varied verticals with different levels of security concerns. The integration of SAFR in Moro Hub’s IPSP can maximise the utilization of security technologies and enable the consumer to go beyond security while improving the operation, generating greater return on investment (ROI) for the business.

“This partnership aims at setting new standards for the security implementations in the region. We at RealNetworks take pride in partnering with Moro Hub, the fastest growing digital entity in the region, with a clear objective to bringing cutting-edge technologies to the client’s fingertips,” said Walter Candelu, Vice-President Middle East, RealNetworks.
