Saturday 26th March Round-Up
The event saw the Jeddah Corniche Circuit provide an exciting peek at what the audience expected with Formula 1 drivers putting in their fastest laps for the Qualifying session. The first competitive session of the weekend took place late in the evening after drivers had a final practice run of the track earlier in the day.
Fans were treated to fantastic nail-biter as their favourite drivers went full speed around the circuit in an attempt to secure pole position ahead of Sunday’s FORMULA 1 stc SAUDI ARABIAN GRAND PRIX 2022.
However, the session was dramatically red-flagged after an incident involving Haas’s Mick Schumacher who thankfully was not seriously injured. He failed to take part in Sunday’s race as a result. Everyone at the FORMULA 1 stc SAUDI ARABIAN GRAND PRIX 2022 wishes him a full recovery and hope to see him back on track very soon.
Ultimately, pole position went to Sergio Perez, who secured his first-ever pole ahead of both Ferrari teammates, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. However, one of the biggest shocks was 7-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton not being able to take his car past Q1.
Following the session, the entertainment didn’t stop there as Wiz Khalifa, Axwell and Mohamed Ramadan delivered fans a fantastic show at the post-race concert over at the Main Stage.
