stc participates as a platinum partner and technically provisions the “Saudi Cup” for the third consecutive years, the most priceless international horse races. stc, recently signed with the Saudi Equestrian Federation and agreement to provision such luxurious event over its third edition. The agreement was signed by Mohammed Rashid Abaalkheil, Corporate Relations VP, stc and Marwan Al-Olayan the CEO of the Saudi Equestrian Club.
stc’s strategy includes the provisioning of dynamic and vibrant sectors such as sports and entertainment, hence the group sponsored the Saudi Cup, as well as due to its national relation and based on the historical position of equestrianism in the Kingdom and due to the association of horses with the culture, heritage and history of the Kingdom since the founding of the first state of KSA in Diriyah onto the second state and then the third state by the late King Abdulaziz, “May his soul rest in peace”. This occasion also coincides with the celebration of the founding day, to reflect the values inherited from the Saudi homeland and its connection to its ancient sport, as well as to commemorate its contribution to the founding of this great country.
On the first day (Friday, February 25th), stc sponsors four races of the Saudi Cup namely the stc International Horse Challenge, where seven international male horse riders and seven female international horse riders compete as individuals to win prizes worth of $1.6 million, at a rate of $400 thousand for each race. On the second day, local horses will compete to win the $1.5 million prize for the (1351 Cup stc).
