center3, an stc subsidiary and leading provider of hosting services, data communication, and internet exchanges in the Middle East, is thrilled to announce the expansion of its collaboration with Huawei. Building upon the successful deployment of the initial Availability Zone (AZ1) announced in March, center3 will now extend its capabilities by adding two more Availability Zones (AZ2 and AZ3) located in Riyadh.
“The initial implementation of AZ1 was a testament to center3’s expertise in delivering scalable and secure cloud infrastructure,” said Fahad AlHajeri, CEO at center3. “The expansion into AZ2 and AZ3 reaffirms Huawei’s confidence in our capabilities and sets the stage for scalable, resilient, and advanced cloud services in the region.”
center3 will also manage the deployment fitout and be responsible for the connectivity and interconnection of Huawei’s cloud platform. “Our one-stop-shop partnership ensures that Huawei can focus on delivering unparalleled cloud services while we manage the complex logistics and operational back-end,” added Mr. AlHajeri.
This expansion signifies a deeper integration between center3’s state-of-the-art hosting capabilities and Huawei’s cutting-edge cloud solutions. It leverages the strengths of both companies to offer a world-class cloud platform that meets the evolving needs of enterprises in the Middle East and beyond.
With a footprint of over 25 data centers and 16 international subsea cables (operational and under construction) center3 is the result of the stc group’s vision for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to be the hub of all international data connectivity crossing and connecting three continents (Europe, Asia, and Africa), as well as a data center hub for the MENA region. Saudi Arabia’s geographical location makes it an ideal location for hosting content and cloud applications that serve not only the region but also the countries that surround it. Hyperscalers, gaming and content providers, cloud providers, and global international carriers will all benefit from the integrated platforms that center3 owns, enabling them to better serve their regional customers with unparalleled scalability and speed.
