stc has announced its participation in the Capacity Middle East 2023 event, the largest carrier meeting for the ME region uniting key service providers and technology players, which was held in Dubai, UAE.
solutions by stc’s participation was in accordance with stc Group position as a diamond sponsor of the event, showcasing its extensive wholesale and business solutions that span across the Middle East and beyond.
The event which was held in March gave the team from solutions by stc a powerful platform to engage with existing and potential partners for wholesale agreements, while exploring the latest technology in the wholesale segment. During the event, solutions by stc highlighted the 2Africa and 2Africa Pearls extension, which is a new international sub-marine cable system that stc is currently investing in. The system connects Europe to the Middle East, India and Africa and extends to the Gulf (Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain and KSA), making it the longest sub-sea cable in the world upon completion. Now in its final phase, this major milestone is a great achievement for opening a new era of business opportunities with extraordinary magnitudes of business revenues. 2Africa Pearls, an expansion of 2Africa in the Gulf, will offer high-speed Terabit connectivity and minimal latency to Asian, African, and European nations, providing numerous benefits. It will be the world’s largest subsea cable, connecting major global data centers, enhancing the region’s digital infrastructure and contributing to its economic growth.
