Teletimes. What is the main focus of Huawei’s Middle East Commercial Roadshow in Jordan?
Alaa Elshimy: Huawei’s Middle East Commercial Roadshow in Jordan aims to highlight the company’s commitment to local development, extending beyond technology investments. This series of events spans three major cities: Irbid, Amman, and Aqaba. In Irbid, the focus was on the electricity sector. This event in Amman centers around the finance sector, and the upcoming event in Aqaba will address the hospitality industry. Huawei is dedicated to empowering key sectors that contribute to Jordan’s development.

TT. What specific solutions is Huawei showcasing and which industry segments will it cover?
Alaa: Huawei is showcasing industry-specific ICT solutions designed to empower sectors such as education, government, healthcare, and finance. The roadshow will cover public service industry customers, including ministries and commissions, private primary and secondary schools, universities, government officials, financial institutions, and education industry partners such as carriers, integrators, and consulting companies. These solutions aim to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of various industry segments.
TT. How does Huawei believe digital transformation can benefit the Jordanian public services sector?
Alaa: Huawei believes that digital transformation can significantly benefit Jordan’s public services sector by leveraging their extensive experience and successful cases globally. Huawei has contributed to over 700 smart cities, 5,000 smart hospitals, and 6,000 smart education institutes worldwide. By bringing their technology, products, and solutions to Jordan, Huawei aims to deliver tailored vertical solutions that address the specific needs of different industries, thereby enhancing public services.

TT. How does Huawei’s partner-led model work, and what are the associated benefits?
Alaa: Huawei’s partner-led model focuses on partner policies and IT platforms. The Commercial Market Growth Incentive Program (GIP) 2024 will be announced, offering exciting benefits, incentives, and profit opportunities for partners and customers. Huawei invests $5 billion annually in the Middle East and Central Asia to boost the local ICT ecosystem and develop local talents. The company has established innovation centers, provided training to ICT professionals, and awarded Huawei Professional Certificates to thousands. Additionally, Huawei sponsors students to visit China and their headquarters. Huawei has a long-standing presence in Jordan, collaborating closely with local governments and businesses. Beyond commercial success, Huawei emphasizes social responsibility by developing the country’s ICT talent pool, creating jobs, and fostering partnerships. This upcoming roadshow signifies a new chapter in Huawei’s commitment, aiming to build a more connected community by addressing industry-wide challenges through a collaborative approach.
